Ann McMillan was a typical mid-western girl growing up with values she held dear to her heart. Although he was married, she went against all her beliefs and morals because she was head over heels in love with this kind, gentle man. It was during an assignment video taping Claire, a young girl with multiple personalities, that her life again took a strange turn. It was here she met John Bailey, Claire’s family attorney, and fell in love with him, even though she still loved Bern. John reminded her so much of Brandon—she didn’t know what it was, but something drew her to him. When she finally realized the part she played in the demise of so many men, and the promise she made to her dear friend, Dean, to end his suffering, it pushed her into madness. I believe you will find this compelling reading as you follow Ann’s life through its moments of extreme happiness, as well as tormenting mental anguish, and she how she manages to survive it all.
