Identical twins, Franklin and Guy LaRoque had planned from their earliest years growing up in Minnesota to succeed in a business that could bring them fame and fortune. Their strange love and devotion for one another was beyond any worldly explanation, from the time of their unconventional birth to their adulthood. With their lives so deeply entwined, it was almost predictable that they would eventually fall in love with the same woman.
The highs and lows of their lives were handled with an understanding that only they shared. Franklin was physically the strongest, whereas Guy, being crippled from birth due to the afterbirth being attached to his leg, was by far the stronger of the two intellectually.
Constantly aware of some strange force trying to reclaim him, Guy lived his entire life in physical pain and mental anguish. Franklin was the only one with the unusual ability to pass strength to his brother, which he did as each excruciating attack would ebb a little more life from his sibling.
The twists and turns their lives took placed them in many unusual circumstances. Without planning it, they innocently became entangled in a very dangerous situation with unscrupulous drug dealers, members of the mob and killers.
Always working as one, their lives never lacked for excitement and adventure.
When Laura came on the scene, Franklin fell head over heels in love with her, knowing full well that she was married to a member of the mob - and one of the largest drug dealers in the eastern United States. As close as the boys were, it was only natural for Guy to experience the same feelings his brother had for Laura because all their lives they shared all feelings, whether they were fear, pain, love, ecstasy or happiness.
