The Review of Canadian Securities is Updated & Published Quarterly. The only publication available to concurrently announce & predict the Recession of 2001, the reasons therefore and the data to support it.
The Review of Canadian Securities - Quartely grew initially from the author's interest in Canadian businesses expanding into the United States and cross border commerce in general. Current and unbiased, in depth compendiums of Canadian corporations were unavailable in book stores and public libraries. University libraries had outdated CDroms in special reserve, valuable only if you already knew what you wanted. There were also no publications that brought together relative performance data within each industry sector.
Eureka!
The Review is
A directory for many leading and diverse Canadian public corporations with address, phone, fax and internal site listings as well as transfer agents' addresses and exchange listings.
A data base, don 'I let that word scare you, from recent quarterly reports going back annually for five years of select balance sheet and income statements, significant corporate events, objective statements by corporate executives on industry sector trends and directions, annual capital expenditures, production data for oil, lumber and steel companies, and more.
A performance review. It is NOT an analysis for picking stocks or investments, and in no way is it a recommendation to buy or sell any security or to pass judgement on management skills or abilities. The performance review compiles most recent full one year and three year comparisons of revenue growth, earnings improvement, gross or operating margin improvement, and shareholder equity growth for each company within its industry sector. While the Review makes every effort to remain impartial and unbiased, readers should keep in mind that the Review focuses on only 320 companies of many thousand.
With the Review now entering its fourth year, 1997 and much of 1998 have been particularly dynamic. More than 50 covered companies were removed from the Review due to mergers and acquisitions, two threw in the towel.
