Review:
BEACH PATROL is the story of heroes; heroes with which every American woman or man can identify. After a terrifying day of multiple attacks on our coastlines the government has called upon its civilian population to assist the Coast Guard in protecting our vulnerable shores until surveillance devices can be installed.
The patrol unit in this story is assigned to a beach front station in Rhode Island. The reader will experience the fear, excitement, and pain of each encounter. They will walk the beaches with our patrols battling winter storms and violent invaders. They will experience the feelings of loneliness ‑ during the long walks and days away from their families.
The growing friendships, budding romances, and developing bond involve the reader in the lives and full range of emotions experienced by the dedicated heroes of this civilian BEACH PATROL.
BEACH PATROL was written for everyone who felt helpless, frustrated, and angry after attacks on our embassies, our naval ship, the Cole, and on our own shores, the World Trade Center. It is dedicated to all the men and women in our military who are doing so much in the war on terrorism and to the civilian population who stand ready to support them.
